New Rolex Deepsea Challenge 2022 : The New Era of The Real 2nd Poseidon

Originating from the 2012 collaborative project between Rolex, National Geographic, and James Cameron to explore the Mariana Trench—the deepest point in the world's oceans located in the Pacific—the massive Rolex Deepsea Challenge was born.

Combined with Rolex's 70 years of expertise in manufacturing deep-sea diving watches, the ultimate lightweight titanium dive watch from Rolex has arrived: the 2022 Deepsea Challenge RLX Model, reference M126067-0001. Let's take a look at this "Lord of the Seas," which Rolex considers the second generation following the 2012 model, now officially available for purchase.

Size and Case: A full-wrist oversized design at 50 mm, allowing it to be worn over a deep-sea diving suit. It is crafted from RLX Titanium, a high-grade 5 titanium that is 30% lighter than previous Deepsea models.
Dial and Bezel: Retains the matte black dial and large indices, using blue luminescence for comfort and ease of reading underwater. The ceramic bezel with a 60-minute scale is coated with platinum for enhanced visibility and aesthetics.
Innovation and Movement: Equipped with a helium escape valve for deep-sea exploration via pressure-adjustment tanks filled with Heliox, and the Ringlock system that securely holds the crystal in place. It runs on the high-standard automatic Calibre 3230 with a 70-hour power reserve. It is water-resistant to 11,000 meters, and with a 25% safety margin, it can withstand depths of up to 13,750 meters.

Bracelet: The Oyster RLX Titanium bracelet utilizes both the Fliplock extension link and Glidelock system, allowing the bracelet to be extended by up to 7 mm.

Case Back: A titanium screw-down case back with deep-sea waterproof gaskets, featuring two engraved dates: 23-01-1960, representing the Deep Sea Special, the first experimental deep-sea watch from Rolex, and 26-03-2012, for the Deepsea Challenge that descended with the deep-sea submersible into the Mariana Trench.
Price (VAT included): 925,100 THB, according to the official Rolex website.
For those who love the Deepsea or Deepsea D-Blue but have been deterred by their weight, this is a great opportunity. Rolex has now incorporated titanium into this "Lord of the Seas," and it is certain that luxury sport watch fans will welcome it warmly. Make sure to reserve yours quickly, as the buzz for this model is immense internationally.
