This D&S timepiece, named "Spiral," features a chronograph movement originally produced in 1946 (the same year the factory opened) known as the "Royal Blue Spiral," which integrates the chronograph hand onto the central axis alongside the hour and minute hands. It includes Losanges Diamantes-style main hands with Super-LumiNova for clear visibility in low light, encased in a 40mm round 18K rose gold case. The bezel is fluted and set with 48 original factory-set top-grade Wesselton white diamonds, totaling 1.92 carats. The crown is fluted for easy handling and adorned with a cabochon, while the dial features a guilloché pattern. It comes with a chronograph function, a sub-dial for small seconds to ensure precision, a date display between 3 and 4 o'clock, large Roman numeral hour markers, and a 60-second scale on the outer rim of the dial. This watch perfectly balances the luxury of diamonds, the classic elegance of Roman numerals, and the sporty nature of the chronograph movement and guilloché pattern, which resembles carbon fiber. The exhibition case back reveals the brand's renowned 3-counter chronograph movement, meticulously hand-finished by master watchmakers, featuring exquisite engravings on the gold rotor and bridges that rival any other luxury brand. Considering the 18K rose gold material, the nearly 2 carats of high-grade white diamonds, and the exceptional craftsmanship, this piece is well worth the price—not to mention the intricate movement and the overall stunning condition. Paired with a stingray leather strap, I guarantee that whoever owns this timepiece will not be disappointed.
