Today, we invite you to take a look at the new watch models officially announced on the Patek Philippe website for 2023. This year, watch enthusiasts who love complex mechanical functions will certainly be dazzled by the selection. More than half of the new releases are focused on the Complications collection, with the "Grand" models being particularly magnificent. There are also nostalgic Enamel dial models that go beyond simple coloring, serving as a reminder of the bygone days when Patek Philippe offered a vast array of such timepieces.

 

New Grand Complications Models

Grand Complications 6300 Grandmaster Chime

A master-level watch that combines 20 functions within a Duoface case, decorated with a Hobnail pattern. It arrives in two styles: the 6300GR-001 Grandmaster Chime with a white gold case and brown opaline dial, and the 6300/403G-001 Grandmaster Chime Haute Joaillerie, featuring an ebony black dial and a white gold case specially adorned with diamonds and emeralds totaling approximately 28 carats.

The Grandmaster Chime is supreme, featuring patented chime functions that can be set for alarms or specific dates. It offers three strike modes: Grande Sonnerie, Petite Sonnerie, and Minute Repeater. In Grande Sonnerie mode, the gongs can chime up to 1,056 times in a single day.

Grand Complications 5316/50P

Continuing with Grand Complications, this model is a mechanical treasure that consolidates five of the most coveted complications for collectors into one: a tourbillon, minute repeater, retrograde perpetual calendar, and moonphase. Given such premium mechanics, the case is equally impressive, crafted from 40.2mm platinum with a luxurious sapphire dial in blue and black tones, perfectly complemented by a navy blue calfskin strap that matches the main theme.

Grand Complications 5531G-001 Minute Repeater World Time

Breathtaking art on the dial created using the Grand Feu Cloisonné technique. In 2023, Patek Philippe has chosen to depict the scenery of the Geneva lake as the background for the World Time function on an 18K gold dial base. It evokes the atmosphere of Switzerland every time the chime of the Minute Repeater resonates, matching the warm imagery within the 40.2mm white gold case, which features a Hobnail pattern on the case flanks.

Grand Complications 5178G-012 Minute Repeater

The final entry in the Grand Complications series is a model fully equipped for those who love the sound of chimes. This Minute Repeater offers an exceptionally rich and deep tone, achieved by using gongs twice as long as normal. Perhaps because its resounding chime evokes the sound of a peacock, the 5178G-012 features a Grand Feu blue dial with a Flinqué guilloché pattern, creating tones and motifs reminiscent of peacock tail feathers. It is paired with a luxurious peacock blue leather strap, with an additional orange strap included for a touch of contrast. The 5178G-012 comes in a 40mm white gold case.

Calatrava 5244R-001 Travel Time

A luxury watch in rose gold featuring a dual-time 24-hour display, decorated with gold indices and classic cabochon-style markers on a navy blue dial. It houses a 48-hour automatic movement in a 42mm size.

Complications 5905R-010

Still elegant and sophisticated in a rose gold case with a sunburst blue dial, this model features both a flyback chronograph and an annual calendar. It utilizes a 55-hour automatic movement and also measures 42mm.

Complications 5924G

Closing the Complications series is a unique and collectible pilot-style watch that integrates the brand's first Travel Time function for this line, available in two colors and styles, both in 42mm.

The 5924G-001 features a white gold case with a sunburst blue-gray dial, while the 5924G-010 offers a white gold case with a khaki green dial. For those who prefer a sleek, refined look, the blue dial is a must, while those who enjoy the adventurous, world-traveling spirit will find the khaki green dial a perfect match for the Travel Time function. Both models house a 55-hour automatic movement.

New Calatrava Models

This year, the Calatrava collection feels complete with styles for every preference. In addition to the Calatrava 5244R-001 Travel Time in the Complications family, there are two other styles to choose from:

Calatrava 6007G Date Sweep Second

A luxury watch with a sporty racing aesthetic, featuring a 40mm white gold case decorated with an embossed carbon-fiber style checkerboard pattern on the dial and calfskin strap. It comes in three vibrant colors: the lively Calatrava 6007G-001 Yellow, the bold and exciting 6007G-010 Red, and the calm and sophisticated 6007G-011 Sky Blue. All three utilize a 45-hour automatic movement.

Ladies Calatrava 4997/200R-001 Joaillerie Ultra-thin

A superior line for ladies, sparkling with rose gold indices. It emphasizes a shimmering sunray effect created by over 50 layers of guilloché on the embossed dial, providing profound depth. It exudes an aura of regal elegance, complemented by a satin-finish strap that makes the 35mm rose gold case—powered by an ultra-thin automatic movement—absolutely captivating with every movement.

New Aquanaut Models

Moving to a key collection that generates significant sales for Patek Philippe alongside the Nautilus: the Aquanaut. This contemporary luxury sports watch arrives in three models and styles under the "Sporty Chic" concept. While the image is chic, cool, and contemporary, it seems the market reception will be "hot and fierce."

Aquanaut Luce 5268/200R-010: One of the Luce models launched in 2023 in the legendary "Taupe" color—a blend of gray and brown on the dial and embossed strap, which pairs perfectly with the rose gold case. It focuses on the interplay of light between polished and brushed surfaces, achieving both luxury and modern sporty chic. It is set with 48 diamonds, totaling 1.17 carats, around the 38.8mm case and uses a 45-hour automatic movement.

Aquanaut Luce 5261R-001 Annual Calendar

Another virtue of the Luce Complicated is that it is easy to understand and use, making this favorite for ladies friendly for every occasion. The 5261R-001 comes in a blue-gray theme, offering both sleekness and modernity. Its 39.9mm rose gold case features faceted, polished-brushed sides, making it even more striking. It includes annual calendar and moonphase functions, with graphics that reflect contemporary rather than classic art. It's bound to be a rare piece, as it is truly suitable for both women and men.

Aquanaut 5968R-001 Chronograph

Concluding the Aquanaut collection is a simple yet powerful design in a brown theme, featuring a sunburst brown dial and a dark brown embossed strap. It includes a 60-minute chronograph function in a 42.2mm rose gold case. The sharp angles provide the familiar Aquanaut vibe, but with even more luxury, all powered by a 55-hour automatic movement.

 

Gondolo Serata

We wrap up the New Models 2023 with a long-standing collection that, with every launch, retains its seductive lines, charming image, and exquisite jewelry-like decoration. The Gondolo 4962/200R-001 Serata is a quartz model in which Patek Philippe has slightly increased the size to 28.6 x 40.85mm. It uses a cognac color theme that looks sweet and mellow, matching the floral patterned dial adorned with Spessartite garnets, transitioning from cognac brown to mandarin orange. It evokes the image of a noblewoman and is made even more delicate by the chocolate-brown satin strap, serving as a captivating finale to this launch.
